Real Wedding: Nancy And David | Doltone House Hyde Park

Our romantic journey began with a serendipitous encounter through a mutual friend at a birthday celebration, setting the stage for what was to come. Fast-forward eight months, and we found ourselves at his parents’ house on Christmas night, enjoying a cozy dinner together. Little did I know, this evening would be the precursor to an unforgettable proposal. He took me on a stroll into the city, where fatefully, a sudden rain shower prompted him to take shelter under the harbour bridge.

It was there, surrounded by the misty veil of the rain-kissed night, that he popped the question and asked me to spend forever with him. As I welled up with tears of joy, my heart echoed with a resounding ‘yes’.

When it comes to our significant others, there’s often one quality that stands out as the most endearing – in my case, it’s David’s unwavering commitment to making me happy. His sense of humor is an added bonus, always leaving me in stitches and putting a smile on my face. But beyond individual quirks, I believe two key elements are essential for building and sustaining a strong relationship: open communication and trust.

By being receptive to each other’s needs and concerns, couples can foster a foundation of understanding and cooperation that helps them navigate life’s ups and downs together.

As I prepared to walk down the aisle, I knew exactly what I wanted my wedding gown to look like – a one-of-a-kind, custom-made masterpiece that deviated from traditional designs. My vision was for a mermaid-style dress, where waves of fabric would flow elegantly into a V-shape at the back. To add an extra touch of luxury, I insisted on pearls and crystals adorning the top section, giving me a princess-like feel on my special day. The end result was a gown that made me feel like royalty.

When it came to planning our wedding day aesthetic, David and I were united in our desire for elegance. Given the gold theme at Doltone, we aimed for a cohesive look that would tie everything together. To achieve this, we opted for a pristine white flower arrangement on the main table, accompanied by the soft glow of tea light candles. The result was a harmonious blend of elements that perfectly captured our wedding’s essence.

As I reflect on the special day, one moment that still brings a smile to my face is when the priest’s warm voice declared us husband and wife. It was a feeling I’ll never forget, and the energy continued to build as we made our grand entrance at the reception. For me, it was all about the music – the traditional Lebanese tunes played by CDARZ Entertainment’s talented 8-piece ensemble perfectly captured the joy of the occasion.

Later that night, we danced under the stars with Marc Anthony’s romantic hit ‘My Baby You’ setting the tone for our memorable Bridal Waltz. The way the melody seemed to harmonize with our love story was truly magical.

Our month-long honeymoon took us to Singapore, Greece (where we explored Athens, Mykonos, and Santorini), and finally, Bangkok. It was a truly unforgettable experience with plenty of sunshine-filled moments… Looking back, our advice to future brides is simple: enjoy every moment of your special day, and don’t forget to smile! With the help of some amazing vendors, we made sure our wedding day was nothing short of perfect. We’d like to extend our gratitude to Adorn Invitations (https://www.

adorninvitations. co. uk/) for their beautiful designs, Norma and Lili Bridal Couture (@norma_and_lili_bridalcouture) for the stunning gown, and Splendid Photography (https://splendid. net. au/) for capturing every precious moment. Our makeup artist was Ebru, while Deanne and Danielle from Bridal Hair Culture styled our hair. The bridesmaids looked lovely in dresses from Misstook Fashion, and our flowers were provided by Simply Different Florist.

Groomsmen attire came courtesy of Politix and Versace (https://www. politix. com. au/), with Hugo Boss shoes (https://www. hugoboss. com) completing the look. Our rings were crafted by Gregory Jewellers (https://www. gregoryjewellers. com. au), while transport was provided by Wow Limousines (https://wowlimos. com. au). Doltone House and Simply Different Florist worked together to create a stunning venue decor, and CDARZ Entertainment brought the party to life with their entertainment.

We were also thrilled with the work of Rossi By Design for our invitations, The Cake Studio for the delicious treats, and Regina Coeli Catholic Church for hosting our ceremony. Finally, we appreciated the unique touches provided by Unique Wedding Cars and Doltone House Hyde Park (https://www. doltonehouse. com. au) for our reception.
